Foster Parent Spotlight:
Thomas and Debra Cook

The Treatment Foster Care Program in the Lynchburg Office is proud to spotlight Thomas and Debra Cook. Thomas and Debra have been foster parents for 6 years.

The Cooks currently have two foster children in their home, one of whom is in permanent foster care. The Cooks have also had numerous other placements throughout the years. The Cooks are experienced in working with children with mental challenges, medical and physical disabilities, and emotional challenges. The Cooks include their foster children in all areas of their lives and they maintain contact with all professionals involved with their foster children. They are strong educators and see that all needs are met for their foster children. The Cooks have three biological children and recently became the proud grandparents of a baby girl.

Debra has participated on parent panels for Pre-Service Trainings. Both Thomas and Debra look forward to monthly In-Service Trainings.

Thank you to Thomas and Debra Cook for providing a welcoming, warm, secure and loving home to foster children for many years.
