Care Provider spotlight

It proved to be more difficult than I imagined picking just one Care Provider from the Roanoke Office to highlight for the Caring Chronicle. Instead, I decided to recognize a strength that I admire in each of our homes and define it, using the Encarta Dictionary.

  • Sarah and Joe - Perseverance: steady and continued action or belief, usually over a long period and especially despite difficulties or setbacks
  • Virginia - Commitment: devotion or dedication, for example, to a cause, person, or relationship
  • Pat Co. - Devotion: deep love and commitment.
  • Pat Cu. - Faithfulness: consistently trustworthy and loyal, especially to a person, a promise, or a duty.
  • Kimberley - Support: to give active help and encouragement
  • Rita - Grace: to add elegance, beauty, or charm to something
  • Greg - Advocate: someone who acts or intercedes on behalf of another
  • Chuck and Sue - Compassion: sympathy for the suffering of others, often including a desire to help
  • Bob and Joanna - Encouragement: to give somebody hope, confidence, or courage
  • Loren and Carol - Gentle: having a gracious and honorable manner
  • George and Janet - Humor: the ability to see and enjoy things that are funny
  • Dean and Pam - Empowerment: to give somebody a sense of confidence or self-esteem
  • Barbara - Kindness: action that shows consideration and caring
  • Elton and Dorothy - Endurance: to experience exertion, pain, or hardship without giving up
  • JoAnn - Sincerity: honesty in the expression of true or deep feelings
  • Dawn and Sharlotte - Integrity: the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to professional standards
  • Carolyn - Flexibility: the ability to change according to circumstances
  • Lance and Robin - Patience: the ability to endure waiting or delay without becoming annoyed or upset, or to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties
