Abingdon
An adoption group for adults and children has started in far Southwest Virginia. Parents interested in participating should contact the AFP social worker at DePaul Family Services in Abingdon at 276-623-0881.

Training Opportunities Available to AFP families at the Abingdon DePaul Office: Preregistration is always requested and families should contact Jamie Morgan at the Abingdon office to register.

Christiansburg
A group meeting for parents and children is held each month in Christiansburg. Contact the AFP Social Worker at DePaul Family Services in Christiansburg at 540-381-1848 for an updated meeting schedule.

Roanoke
Adoption groups for parents and youth
A group meeting for parents and separately, for youth will be held from 6-8pm at Fellowship Community Church 1226 Red Ln. Ext., Salem, VA 24153 on

    September 9-9am to 12pm; AFP families must register in advance for this workshop by calling the Roanoke office Workshop located at Oak Grove Church of the Brethren in Roanoke
  • Effect of Abuse on Brain Development: Reviewing work of Dr. Bruce Perry
    November 11-9:30am to 11:30am and November 13-6:30 to 8:30pm
  • What's New? Video & Discussion-Building Self-Esteem & Fun Activities
