Many families in crisis can remain intact or reunite successfully when the
appropriate intensive supports are available. Our services are easily
accessible to referring parties and families, are flexible and are responsive
to the family's needs.
Services are provided in the family's home
and community with the focus on:
- Small caseloads - 4 to 5 families per caseworker
- Identifying case management needs
- Teaching and developing parenting skills
- Developing new communication styles
- Improving anger management skills
- Crisis support through on-call paging system
- Empowering families to successfully utilize community resources
- Enhancing the likelihood of the family remaining together as a functional unit
Service Components
A master's level clinician provides the core services. Caseworkers are also
available to work in collaboration with the clinician. Length and intensity
of service delivery is determined at the time of initial assessment and is
based on the nature and severity of the presenting problems.

- In-Home individual and family therapy
- Case management
- Parent and household management skills training
- Communication and anger management skills training
- Supervised visitation (in reunification cases)
- 24-hour crisis intervention and treatment
- Monthly progress reports to referring organization
- Referral/linking to other community resources
- Discharge plan that transitions family into less intensive services
Eligibility Criteria
- Child is at imminent risk of placement, child in substitute care is returning home, or child with special needs is coming into adoptive placement
- Family is willing to accept help and participate in services
- Less intensive services have been tried or are not appropriate
- Child is in a safe environment at time of referral
- Home setting is preferred to office setting for services
